So I just finished my first round of finals (yes, I’ve only been here for 2.5 weeks, so intense) and it’s time to celebrate!
And the best way to celebrate? WITH FOOD, of course!
Here’s a photo collage of the Parisian food that I’ve encountered in the past 2 weeks – click the photo for more details! 🙂 Bon appétit my friends!
inside: spinach, smoked salmon, cheese IT WAS AMAZING
It was so amazing. And less than 5€!
Anywhere you eat in Paris, water will be served in a fancy bottle. And you will drink from wine glasses. So classy!
I went to the market one morning and brought back ingredients for a hearty omelette: ham, spinach, and mushroom. However, the pans in my apartment are all non-stick, so my omelette became a scramble… 😀
Boulangerie (bakery) on Rue de Faubourg Saint-Antoine

So I went to this restaurant called Le Rouge Limé on one of my first nights here and the entire menu was in French… I recognized the word for fries (my favorite) so I went with that and ended up getting bbq pork ribs… not exactly my idea of a French dinner 😛
OH MY GOSH. Espresso with crème Chantilly! Chantilly, aka the birth place of whipped cream, aka the best whipped cream you will ever have in your life, aka the place I want to go back to noww!!
Three flavors of sorbet: blackberry, strawberry, raspberry… and Chantilly whipped cream. From the Chantilly castle. Oh my gosh!!!
Found this place in the Marais quarter from TripAdvisor, it’s called La Droguerie du Marais. Not sure what the crêpe master did, but the cheese melted on the edges and formed a nice cheesy crust and it was the most magical savory crêpe I’ve ever had
So the oldest marketplace in Paris is right down the street from my apartment, it’s called Marché d’Aligre. It’s basically a huge farmers market that’s open everyday and it’s the place to go to get fresh fruits/veggies!
Another TripAdvisor recommendation: Amorino gelato in the Latin Quarter. They shape the cones into roses… nice presentation and even nicer taste!!
Flavors: Strawberry, Lime, Mango, and Passionfruit. Did I mention that they let you choose as many flavors as you want!?
What a cute display in a bakery window!
Hands down one of the best gyros I’ve ever had, from Le Souvlaki Athenien in the Latin Quarter. Beef and lamb with veggies, fries, and their special sauce. Only costed for 5€ too!
Stopped by a bagel shop before class one morning and was not disappointed! This is from Morry’s Bagels and Toasts on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Smoked salmon, cucumber, cream cheese. Basically magic.
I’ve probably had this wrap for lunch about 3-4 times in the 2 weeks that I’ve been here. There’s a little boulangerie (bakery) on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine next to my school, it’s my go to for a quick and affordable lunch! This wrap is only 3€!
In a previous photo post, I had photos of a frozen foods store called Picard. These are the dishes that I picked up to try… and let me tell you, frozen food can be tasty!
Blé Sucré is the best bakery that I have found so far in Paris. It’s pretty highly rated on Yelp and it’s a popular tourist spot in my district for very obvious reasons! This pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) is super flaky and tasty and perfect. Filled with nutella. Pair it with a coffee and it’s MAGIC!
from Blé Sucré. If you come to Paris, this is a must try! So goood!
from Les Artisans café I’m not much of a coffee drinker in the states, but here it’s a necessity to keep me alert for my intense classes. This was my very first cappuccino!
from Les Artisans
Check out this fancy sandwich plate!
Ham and cheese sandwiches pretty much define Paris food haha This is a very common sight in Paris!
Hot Dogs in France are baguettes with TWO hot dogs inside. This one is a little fancier with cheese and what not…
Bread all day, everyday!
From a boulangerie near my apartment!
Completely edible and not burnt. What!?
from Paris Chinatown in the 5th arrondissement (district)
I’m tempted to say that this boba was significantly better than anything I’ve ever had in the states… and as a self proclaimed boba aficionado, this is a pretty big deal
One of my favorite dishes. Ahhh.
I went to Paris Chinatown in the 5th arrondissement, which ironically was full of a lot of Vietnamese/Thai restaurants. Of course I had to try Vietnamese food in France. Doesn’t compare to Mom’s cooking (of course) but it was still really good!
We ordered our food from touch screens and the servers called out our numbers literally a minute later… so quick!
Yes. McDonald’s is a thing in France and it’s much classier than the McDonald’s in the states.. check out my meal!
I kid you not, this wall was in the McDonald’s that I went to… isn’t it funny?
Had to try Chinese take out at some point!
This dish is called “Toast” on the menu but really it’s just a sandwich. This had smoked salmon and poached egg inside. Potato wedges with “American sauce,” (which I’ve never had in America lol) and a salad. From Le Paradis du Fruit in the Bastille area!
From a fruit shop in Bastille to you ~
Yes. That is a tomato on top of this sorbet. My friend and I found this really cute fruit restaurant called Le Paradis du Fruit (literally Fruit Paradise haha) in the Bastille area and it makes killer sorbets!
From a Japanese restaurant called Sapporo near the Opéra Garnier

FRENCH MCDONALDS HAS KIT KAT MCFLURRIES. YESSSSSSSS.
After getting back from the ballet at about 11pm one night, my friends and I decided to stop for food and this is what we found. Gyro-esque meal for 6€!
More fancy coffee from a café in the Marché d’Aligre
I made dinner for myself one night by throwing a bunch of different ingredients together and it actually was pretty good! Chipolatas are fresh French sausages. This one is half beef half lamb… IT WAS SO GOOD
Real gelato yesss
Sour Patch KIds is my favorite type of candy, so when I saw this, I HAD to get it… of course the French version is better than the American version. Chewier and better flavor! Will definitely bring bags of this home!!
from Tarmac, near the Bastille area
This is the best vanilla milkshake I’ve ever had in my entire life. The French have better milk, it’s lighter and fresher tasting than what I’m used to in America. IT’S SO GOOD From Tarmac
Chipolatas for dinner everyday Also the green beans here are amazing
Tea here is not as fabulous as say coffee, but I thought this was cute so I took a photo 😀 Night before finals study session with my homies!
Looks yummy
